ACCORDING TO THE REPORTER, IN LAPAROSCOPIC INCISIONAL HERNIA REPAIR, A HIGHER RATE OF RECURRENCE WAS OBSERVED IN THE TACK GROUP (10.0%) THAN IN THE NON-ABSORBABLE FIXATION DEVICES, FOR THIS REASON, THEY¿VE LIMITED THE NUMBER OF PATIENTS TREATED WITH THE TACK. REGARDING THE FIXATION DEVICES, THE TACK SYSTEM SEEMED TO BE LESS RELATED TO POSTOPERATIVE NEURALGIA, BUT WAS RELATED TO A HIGHER RATE OF RECURRENCE THAN NON-ABSORBABLE SYSTEMS. THE DEVICE WAS USED ON 30 PATIENTS. THE RECURRENCE RATE WAS 2.4% (12 PATIENTS) WITH THE MAJORITY OBSERVED IN THE ABSORBABLE TACK GROUP (10%).
