MBST Magnetic Resonance therapy devices are used for the treatment of indications and types of tissue for afflictions, injuries and painful, degenerative and/or pathological changes of the musculoskeletal system. The MBST® ARTHRO·SPIN·LIFT 2 magnetic resonance therapy system consists of a movable applicator unit, that can be multiply adjusted to allow comfortable patient treatment, as well as a control unit and display for device operation. The actual treatment unit of the MBST® ARTHRO·SPIN·LIFT 2 therapy system consists of an applicator with two sweep coils that are located to the left and right side of the cushion as well as an RF coil arranged under the cushion. In their activated state, the applicators generate a DC magnetic field, which is superimposed by an alternating electromagnetic field in such a way that the specific waveform of the alternating field generates magnetic resonance in the treated area of tissue of the patient. The treatment zone is determined freely by the user, provided that the body part to be treated is positioned in the active treatment field between both applicators. However, due to its construction, the area of application of the therapy device is primarily focused on the extremities.
