The Anoscopes and Proctoscopes of the THD Diagnostic Line are composed by an hollow anoscope /proctoscope fitted with an handle and an introductory insert. The device is packed individually in a sterile, single use package. The device is DISPOSABLE. The device is shaped so to fit easily through the anal sphincter. The tip can be shaped as: Truncated, Bevelled, or Fenestrated (the latter intended to be used for the band legation of haemorrhoids and to perform biopsies on suspect area of anal mucosa for histological examination). The handle has a groove where the proprietary tip of the fibre-optic cable or the penlight –assembly lodges.
