It is a device for delivering shockwave therapy. LiKAMED shockwave therapy units are controlled by a microprocessor and use an attached handpiece to deliver the shockwaves. The number of pulses, the intensity and the frequency are carefully controlled and monitored by a complex electronic control unit. The device is state of the art technically and clinically. Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive procedure used for outpatient treatment of a wide range of neuromuscular diseases. The shockwave is generated pneumatically. The intensity can be adjusted in 25 levels and the frequency can be varied from 1 to 25 Hz.
