The Ultrasonic consists of the applicator emitting ultrasonics of three manually selectable frequencies. Ultrasonics have a large number of physiological effects and can thus support the self-regulating forces. Apart from direct mechanical application to the tissue by pressure and particle movement, the mechanical effect is also influenced by secondary effects such as cavitations and micro currents, which can also be described as a ‘micro massage’. Dangerous local overheating effects, e.g. at the periosteum are avoided if the device is properly applied. For procedural reasons there can be a superficial warming up of the skin.
