RIA Estradiol is an in vitro diagnostic manual medical device intended to be used by healthcare professionals for the quantitative measurement of estradiol in human serum and plasma. Measurement of estradiol is intended to be used for the assessment of fertility status and sexual development. In females, it is used in differential diagnosis of amenorrhea and other causes of female infertility and in monitoring of ovulation status. It is also used as an aid in diagnosis of precocious and delayed puberty in children. In males, it is used as an aid in diagnosis of feminizing syndromes, including gynecomastia. It is also used in monitoring patients on hormone replacement and antiestrogen therapy.
