Additional Description
Corneal topography can also be used for preoperative examination and postoperative evaluation of corneal refractive surgery, where preoperative corneal characteristics can be fully understood, and corneal aberrations caused by keratoconus and contact lenses can be eliminated. The aim of modern cataract surgery is not only to reduce surgery-induced astigmatism, but also to eliminate preoperative astigmatism through a surgical incision. Therefore, the corneal topography of the preoperative examination can be used to guide the surgery. The corneal topography was used to accurately diagnose corneal astigmatism after corneal transplantation and guide the correction of corneal astigmatism after corneal transplantation. Based on the corneal topography, the curvature and degree required by the glasses for patients with refractive errors can be calculated.
