Additional Description

Hydrophobic Filter - Green Colour : MGE Part No MSP1003 - Disposable Hydrophobic Filters X 24. SAM Hydrophobic in-line filter is non-invasive device. The 0.3-micron particle retention of the filter medium gives not less than 99.985% DOP and provides a filter efficiency of 99.9999%. (DOP – Evaluation of air media by the Dioctyl Phthalate smoke test. ASTM D2986-95a [1999]). SAM Hydrophobic filter provides an effective barrier against aerosol contamination. SAM Hydrophobic filter comprises an integrated micro-porous PTFE membrane laminated on to non-woven polyester backing encapsulated within a green ultra-sonic welded capsule. The integrated micro porous membrane chemically seals on contact with any liquid providing total protection against fluid overflows. The membrane structure is uni-directional. The Hydrophobic filter prevents costly pump damage or contamination from liquids being passed through and ensures that jar overfilling does not result in contaminants being ejected from the suction unit. The filter capsule is disposable. They are non-sterile and are intended for single use. They can only be used on one patient at a time and should be replaced after each use. The filter must not be modified. The filter does not come into contact with the patient or user under normal use. The filter capsule is not manufactured using tissues of animal origin, does not contain human blood derivatives and/or medicinal product.
