EnDrive allows endodontic treatments in terms of: - Root canal preparation by the means of rotating instruments (files) - Indications for root canal length determination aided by an apex locator The root canal preparation functionality is provided by an electric motor having speed and torque controls. The motor speed control is performed using a brushless DC motor with 3 phases and digital Hall sensors driven by the firmware. The root canal length determination functionality is provided by measuring the impedance existing between electrical contacts placed into the dental root canal and onto the lip of the patient.
