The medical device Collabarrier is sterile, transparent and highly viscous gel. This device is based on Type Ⅰcollagen. Collagen is one of the main components of human tissue and of epithelial and mesothelial tissues. As a result of their viscosity, Collabarrier adheres to the tissue surface and creates an absorbable adhesion barrier which keeps the adjacent tissues separated during the repair phase subsequent to a surgical procedure.
