Additional Description
HISTOLS® - DAB Chromogen / Substrate System was developed for immunohistochemical and in situ hybridisation staining procedures with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). DAB (3,3’-Diaminobenzidine) leads to the formation of a dark-brown precipitate at the location of the target antigen. The precipitate is insoluble in aqueous and organic solvents allowing the use of commonly known mounting media. This chromogen / substrate system is especially useful when a high contrast between the chromogen and counter stain is desired.
