The intended purpose of the MARIE PACS system is the complex system for the circulation of DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) or other DICOM-formatted data within the hospital. It is a functional system where we change the configuration as needed depending on the activated functional units and their settings. This system can work as a stand-alone system or it can work as a subsystem of a hospital information system. Due to the openness of the technologies, the integration of elements of DICOM nodes (such as modalities, local archives, third-party workstations, etc.), but also elements working on the principles of artificial intelligence, is possible. The MARIE PACS system includes tools using telemedicine and teleradiology technologies. The system allows to search and display any medical documentation through IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise profiles).
