This kit is used for Used for in vitro quantitative detection of cTnl in human serum, plasma or whole blood samples. cTnI is one of three subunits of troponin compounds (I, T and C). It can form a complex together with troponin C, troponin T or together with troponin C and troponin T. Physiological action of cTnI: It inhibits the activity of actin-myosin complex when there is no calcium ion to prevent muscle contraction. Myocardial cell integrity is damaged in case of myocardial necrosis, which is often accompanied by release of macromolecule in structural protein and other cells to the myocardial matrix. These biological markers of myocardial necrosis include cardiac troponin I and T (cTnI and cTnT), creatine kinase isoenzyme MB (CM-MB) and myoglobin (MYO), and so on. Compared with other available cardiac markers, cardiac troponin has good sensitivity and tissue specificity for myocardial damage. It is the best marker for detecting myocardial damage that can be clinically used for auxiliary diagnosis of myocardial infarction (MI).
