This kit is used for in vitro quantitative detection of interleukin 6 (IL-6) in human serum, plasma or whole blood samples. cDNA translation product of IL-6 is polypeptide chain of 212 amino acids and can be cut into mature protein of 184 amino acids; according to glycosylation and phosphorylation degree of 73 sites and 172 sites, the molecular weight of IL-6 is within 21.5-28kDa. IL-6 may cause the following diseases when the serum or plasma concentration rises: Septicemia, autoimmunity, lymphoma, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), alcoholic liver disease and infection or transplant rejection.
