Die Software enthält speziell entwickelte Algorithmen, um festzustellen,ob eine Patientenprobe, die zuvor auf das ThEA DSS-F1 aufgetragen und mit dem ThEA RapiDx gemessen wurde, SARS-CoV-2 positiv oder negativ ist. Das ThEA SARS-CoV-2 Plugin analysiert den Unterschied eines ThEA DSS mit und ohne auf die Sensoroberfläche geschmierte Patientenprobe. Die Auswertung wird innerhalb der ThEA Control Software gestartet und unter Verwendung der ThEA SARS-CoV-2 plugin Algorithmen durchgeführt. Diese liefern ein Ergebnis über das Vorhandensein oder Fehlen des Ziels in der zuvor erwähnten Probe.
