PANNORAMIC® 250 Flash III DX Digital Scanner as a diagnostic scanner in the whole slide imaging (WSI) system can be used as an aid to the pathologist to create, review and interpret digital images of surgical pathology slides prepared from formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue, cytology smear/specimen, peripheral bloodsmear, HE (hematoxylin eosin stained) tissue, IHC labeled tissue, or frozen section. The WSI consist of a Scanner, an image management system with a proper viewer application and a monitor. This system utilizes optical, mechanical, electronic, and software elements to scan FFPE tissue, cytology specimen, or frozen section mounted on glass slides to create digital whole slide images.
