Additional Description
The Eustachian catheter is made from stainless steel and mainly used to test Eustachian tube patency but with a few other uses as well. It is actually a curved, metal cannula, measuring about 5 inches in length. Its tip is curved gently downwards. The other end bears a small metal ring in the direction of the curve. This ring serves as a guide to the direction of the curve once the tip is inserted into the nose. In some kind of surgeries there is a need to open the body part and to insert the fluid into that body part. Obviously some kinds of instruments are required for making this procedure easy and correct. The instruments used for insertion are called as metal catheters. They are inserted into the body parts for the purpose of examination or the dilation. The instruments called as metal catheters are designed with great care so that they can perform the function with the proper accuracy. They are usually made up of good quality materials like stainless steel and hence they are needed to use for several times after the process of sterilization. Metal catheters are quite common in various medical procedures. Catheter is the long stick with the tip that is of curved shape and hence it needed to be used with great care. Catheter is present separately for both male and female. Catheters is a non-powered, hand-held, or hand-manipulated device, intended to be used in various surgical applications.
