Additional Description
The Lanyard Puck is a lock mechanism for prosthetic suspension. It consists of either a metal or plastic puck enclosed in a prosthetic socket which allows a lanyard strap to be passed from the inside to the outside of the socket. The lanyard strap is connected to a liner rolled onto the limb of the amputee. The strap is fed through the socket and puck from the inside, then out the bottom and up through a chafe that is riveted to the hard socket. Once through the chafe, the patient can apply downward pressure to pull the residual limb into the prosthesis and lock it in place with the Velcro end of the strap.
