Additional Description
This kit is suitable for in vitro quantitative detection of the concentration of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in human serum, plasma or whole blood samples. Mainly used for the differential diagnosis of hypercalcemia and hypocalcemia. PTH is the most important hormone that regulates blood calcium levels. It has the effect of increasing blood calcium and lowering blood phosphorus levels. Calcium ions play an important role in maintaining the normal excitability of nerve and muscle tissue. When the blood calcium concentration decreases, the excitability of nerves and muscles increases abnormally. Hypocalcemic tetany can occur. In severe cases, it can cause respiratory muscle spasm and cause suffocation. Therefore, the detection of parathyroid hormone (PTH) concentration has important clinical significance.
