INTENDED PURPOSE / INTENDED USE For in vitro diagnostic use in the quantitative determination of ferritin concentration in human serum and plasma with the automated procedures of Thermo Scientificโข Indikoโข and Konelabโข analyzers. The Ferritin test is indicated to be used in conjunction with clinical evaluation for aid to diagnosis of iron deficiency, monitoring of iron therapy and for ascertaining the bone marrow iron reserves, in patients. Furthermore, the Ferritin test is indicated to be used in conjunction with clinical evaluation for aid to diagnosis of iron overload, due to for example hemochromatosis, in patients.
