The MGMT Promoter Methylation Detection Kit is a methylation-specific PCR (MSP) assay designed to detect O(6) ?methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter methylation in the genomic DNA of glioblastoma multiform (GBM) tumors. MGMT promoter methylation has been shown to result in increased susceptibility to alkylating agents such as temozolomide and has a favorable prognostic significance.
