MARQUAT GENIE BIOMEDICAL

Single-use medical device designed for the hemostasis of esophageal varices in cases of acute hemorrhages unresponsive to conventional treatments. Composed of a 3-lumen PVC tube with an X-ray opaque ORX line along its length, it features two latex balloons: a gastric balloon for securing the tube and an esophageal balloon for variceal tamponade. A central lumen allows for gastric aspiration, while two secondary lumens inflate the balloons via tubes equipped with visual indicator pilot balloons. An external sliding collar facilitates secure fixation of the tube. Sterilized by Beta irradiation at 25 kGy.
