This kit is suitable for in vitro quantitative detection of the concentration of Interleukin-6(IL-6) in human serum, plasma and whole blood. IL-6 is a cytokine expressed by the innate immune system in response to initial injury and infection. After bacterial infection, IL-6 level rises rapidly and reaches its peak after 2h, which is earlier than other cytokines and lasts for a long time. The elevated level is consistent with the severity of infection, so it can be used to assist the early diagnosis of acute infection.
