INTENDED PURPOSE / INTENDED USE For in vitro diagnostic use in the quantitative determination of lipase (EC 3.1.1.3; triacylglycerol acylhydrolase) activity in human serum and plasma with the automated procedures of Thermo Scientificโข Indikoโข and Konelabโข analyzers. The lipase test is indicated to be used in conjunction with clinical evaluation for aid to diagnosis and monitoring of pancreatic disorders, such as acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis and obstruction of the pancreatic duct, in patients.
