INTENDED PURPOSE / INTENDED USE For in vitro diagnostic use in the quantitative determination of magnesium concentration in human serum and plasma with the automated procedures on Thermo Scientificโข Indikoโข and Konelabโข analyzers. The Magnesium test is indicated to be used in conjunction with clinical evaluation for aid to diagnosis and monitoring of hypomagnesemia, which is often linked to metabolic-, cardiac- or neurological disorders, in patients. Furthermore, the Magnesium test is indicated to be used in conjunction with clinical evaluation for aid to diagnosis and monitoring of hypermagnesemia, for example due to excessive intake and renal failure, in patients.
