"The kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination ofα1-microglobulin (α1-MG) in human urine and is mainly used in the auxiliary diagnosis of renal tubule damage clinically. α1-MG is a small molecule glycoprotein with a carbohydrate composition of about 20% carbohydrate and relative molecular weight of 30-33 kDa. It is mainly synthesized in the liver and lymphocytes. Under normal conditions, α1-MG in the blood can freely pass through the glomerulus, and about 99.9% are reabsorbed and metabolized in proximal convoluted tubules, with only trace amounts excreted out of the body. When the renal tubular function is impaired, the reabsorption and metabolism of α1-MG are reduced, and the α1-MG level in the urine is increased. Therefore, urine α1-MG can be used as an effective indicator of renal tubule damage "
